Photo-a-Day 2014: Day 18

This is a personal project I commence in January where I take a photograph of my children each day. This exercise stretches me as a photographer, as a mother, and as a journalist. This is my 3rd year on this project and I hope to continue it as the years pass.
Day 18
Adam is a very pleasant boy.  He's the PERFECT 4th child: he is so laid back and is perfectly content to follow the crowd.

But is NOT a pleasant sick child.

He is VERY whiny and wants me to hold him during his entire waking hours.  If I'm not holding him, he follows me around moaning "Maaawwwwmmmeeeee" over and over and over until I pick him up.  It's enough to drive a perfectly sane woman off the edge.

And I am not perfectly sane.

While I was folding the laundry, he brought me the Ibuprofen.  I think that it *might* have been a sign that he wanted some, if I'm reading the signs correctly (ahem...).

Needless to say, I am *trying* to sit and cuddle with him more, being content to watch John Deere Action over and over and over again.  Tractors are a balm for his soul.  And peace is a balm for me.

So, I will cuddle him while watching Tractors as much as I can so we can both have a little soul-soothing.  The laundry, dishes, clutter, dirt, grime and the needs of the other 3 will just have to wait a bit longer...

  1. I saw this the day you posted it... and now, almost a week later, it still makes me smile. Poor Ads. It's a good thing that he is such an effective communicator, even if he keeps your hands full.

I know you love your baby boy so SOOO much!!! :-)
